Spring Jacket Round Up!
Answering my most asked question on Instagram lately...
I’ve gotten a lot of dms lately asking for spring jacket recommendations. Especially jackets that aren’t a trench coat. Everyone LOVES a trench coat - me included - but many of us own them already or are just looking for something a little different. Today I’ve got a super cute jacket round up for you and I’m dishing on what jackets I’ve already purchased for myself for spring too…
Let’s take a look!
top row, from left:
Black Rain Jacket - if you need or want a stylish rain jacket, look no further. I bought this for myself last fall for my Italy trip because it packs well and looks so chic. Lucky me, it didn’t rain the whole trip (I called this jacket my rain-insurance-policy) but I’m glad I have it in my closet now because I love it and will own it forever. Sizing tip: It runs very big, I went down 2 sizes to an xxs. It also comes in 2 other colors!
Denim Chore Jacket - I just got this denim chore jacket for spring and I’m obsessed. It’s chic and classic but also right on trend, currently I’m seeing this style everywhere. You can see how I styled it 3 ways right here. Sizing tip: I went down one size to an xs
Cropped Trench - this is such a fun take on the classic. I love a short trench for spring because it’s just not so “heavy” looking as a longer trench. Plus, I really love the gathered details on the sleeves here.
middle row, from left:
Classic Utility Jacket - This style has to be the most persistent of all jacket styles. I’ve never stopped loving this style and the funnel neck on this one and the gathered waist are small tweaks that make it super modern while being endlessly classic. Sizing tip: I purchased this for myself in my usual size small.
Navy Gathered Waist Jacket - A gathered waist jacket seems to be very of the moment right now. It’s a small touch that looks chic to the max while also being very stylish. I love this option!
Wool Boxy Jacket - If you live in Michigan you know that a lightweight wool jacket has a lot of value as we inch towards spring in the slowest of fashion. I love this because it’s warm without being heavy.
bottom row, from left:
Gingham Lined Jacket - Gingham lining on jackets is everywhere right now and it’s so dang cute and classic. This is such a fun take on a preppy spring jacket.
Funnel Neck Utility Jacket - Again with the funnel neck jacket! This is a style that’s really cool and stylish and seems to be everywhere for outerwear lately.
Cropped Collarless Utility Jacket - An olive green jacket will get so much wear every spring and I love this minimalist option. This would be so cute with jeans or linen pants and a white tee. Somehow olive is such a good spring neutral.
Not pictured: I just got this bright red barn jacket in size small for spring. It’s so bold and fun and a less expensive option than some of the bold colored barn jackets I’ve seen from Row, Barbour or Alex Mill. It’s a really cute look for less!
Also not pictured: I’m really digging this barn jacket in white denim. So so good!
