Style Glossary, 6 sneakers for everyday wear I love!
I just love a sneaker moment for everyday wear!
Let’s start with this: thank the GOOD LORD that sneakers are trendy right now. No? I often think this about sneakers (and Birkenstocks!) because wow, did we hit the fashion trend jackpot here over the last 5-8 years. What a time to be alive! I will say I love a ballet flat or a loafer or a sandal, but my feet are often quite cranky (thanks to too much tennis) and there is nothing like slipping on a good pair of sneakers and having them elevate a look.
Today I am rounding up my tried and true everyday sneakers… wear them with jeans, leggings (and when the weather warms up again with dresses or shorts!)… these are the go-to styles I depend on for easy everyday looks.
(above) The Isabel Marant Beth sneaker has long been an obsession of mine! I ordered them in December and got the sizing wrong (I had heard they run small so I ordered up a size and they ended up being too big, they do run a bit snug but I still took my usual size) and finally reordered them this month and they live up to all I had hyped them up to in my mind. They are chic, comfortable (they have some built in arch support which I really appreciate!) and really go with so many looks, I’ve already worn them quite a few time! I do not use my own inserts with these sneakers. (shop the head to toe look)
(above) The New Balance 327 are such a great sporty everyday sneaker. I wear mine a lot with leggings but they work with jeans too. This is a style that was quite trendy a year ago but has really stuck around for a while. I still wear mine ALL the time and own them in brown (sizes are hard to find) and white. I love that they are under $100 and are available in so many fun colors. They also work really well with inserts. New Balance always runs a little big for me and I went down a half size in these. (shop the look with brown sneakers, shop the look with white sneakers)
(above) The Adidas Samba. These are EVERYWHERE still and pretty much go with any outfit. I love the low profile making them sleek and stylish. Unfortunately these don’t work great with inserts, so with these shoes I go without an insert. I found they run big and sized down a half size in women’s sizing. This exact pair is super marked up, unfortunately, here. Otherwise there are tons of colors and styles here. (shop the head to toe look)
(above) The Dolce Vita Notice sneaker. I love these so much I bought them in 2 colors and wear them A LOT. They run true to size and are the most comfortable sneaker I own. They have a small built in wedge to make you a bit taller, the most comfortable and cushioned sole I have ever tried (I don’t use inserts with these) and go with everything in my closet. I own them in brown suede and silver. Both colors kept selling out last fall but they are in stock in all sizes last time I checked. I could seriously buy like 3 more colors just because they are so comfy! (Shop the look with brown suede sneakers, shop the look with silver sneakers)
(above) Golden Goose sneakers. I still wear and love my GGs. Yes they may not be as trendy or “hot” as they were 5 years ago, but I still love them and pull them out quite often still. I kind of think they are just a classic at this point!?!? Maybe you disagree but I am still into them. They have a small wedge inside so I don’t put my own inserts in these. I find them to be most comfortable barefoot since they have a terry lining. This pair is quite old but this pair is very similar. (shop the head to toe look)
(above) Autry sneakers are just too cool. I have two pairs, the suede trainers and the leather and gold sneakers. I just love both and they instantly make any outfit hipper (or that’s what I like to think!). The suede trainers ran big on my so I went down a size. I don’t do inserts with these. The leather and gold sneakers are more true to size and I do use an insert with these. Both are very comfortable and supposedly all the rage in Europe and following suit in the US too. Hi Jill,
Would you recommend any of these sneakers for sightseeing all day in Europe? With dresses?
Thanks!
